A leading figure in the national 50’s scene, Johnny Loda is considered one of the best rockabilly guitar players in Italy.
Active since 1982, he has an intense live activity in Italy and abroad, getting great feedback from audience and critics.
Band leader of historical line ups of the Italian rock’n roll scene, as Nervous Kid And The Thunderbolts (1982 – 1985), Rockin ‘Rebels (1987 – 1992), Silverjacks (1992 – 2001), Ace’s Trio (2001 – 2003) and Johnny Loda & the Echorecs (2003 – 2008), currently appears on stage brilliantly supported by his new band under the name of Johnny Loda Trio.

The original line up of Johnny Loda Trio was composed by Davide Boschetti (ex Kryptonite) on Double Bass and Renato Ardizzoni (I Belli di Waikiki) on drums.

In the summer of 2012, for personal reasons, unfortunately Davide left the band and he was replaced by Massimo Tonus, popular double bass player of the Italian Psychobilly scene with a big experience on his shoulders with many and many Psychobilly and Rockabilly bands.
Johnny Loda Trio, presents an explosive mix of bad-tempered full-bodied Rock’n Roll, Rockabilly, Hillbilly and Surf.

Johnny has cut several records with his former line ups and the last two, listed below, under the name of Johnny Loda

“That’s me!”, Containing 15 tracks, including several original compositions, recorded at the studios of the JCR Records of Montreux (CH) and distributed by Blue Lake Records always Montreux;

“Cool Tall Girl” features 17 songs, mostly original compositions, distributed by Part Records, Waldorf (D).

In the early months of 2012 he entered the studio again and released his third long playing album titled “Godforsaken Land” with the original line up of Johnny Loda Trio.

The new album was recorded, as the former one, by Johnny’s long date friend Luca Balboni (band leader of famous Italian bands like Jumpin’ Shoes, Broken Hearts, Love Bandits …); the mixing has been done by Rick Miller (Southern Culture on the Skids) at the Kudzu Ranch Studio, North Carolina (USA) and Mastered by Dave Harris at Studio B Mastering in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA).

The new cd is mainly composed of original songs, wrote and arranged by the band and it was printed, produced and distributed by Part Records (D).
